The announcement text: Our client, a federation for part of the construction sector, are looking to recruit a secretary on a permanent basis, as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an extremely busy, involved and challenging role, in a lively and friendly environment.

We are looking for a minimum of 18 months secretarial experience and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Minute taking and shorthand are desirable, however training will be provided. This role really requires somebody extremely flexible and adaptable. There will be a lot of involvement in organising events and running competitions for members, there will be travelling and staying away from home 3*4 times a year and the need to work extra hours, so the ideal candidate will be really looking to commit and throw themselves into their next role.

Secretarial duties will include typing, reports, diaries and all paperwork relating to the federations members and suppliers. Good communication and organisational skills are essential along with a positive and proactive nature.
